It is a member of the Council of the Notariats of the European Union (Conseil des Notariats de l’Union Européenne; C.N.U.E.), the umbrella organisation of civil law notaries from 22 EU Member States.

Globally, the Bundesnotarkammer is also a member of the International Union of Notaries (Union Internationale du Notariat; U.I.N.L.), the international association of notarial professional organisations of the Latin type notarial system.
