The Congress of German Civil Law Notaries takes place every four years and has a long tradition dating back to 1902. It is the central forum of discussion of the German notariat as well as of preventive administration of justice and brings together notaries from all over Germany and numerous national and international guests from politics, the justice sector, academia and business to discuss current legal and legal-policy issues.
Under the guiding theme “The notariat of the future – digital and legally certain”, the 30th Congress of German Civil Law Notaries in Hamburg will offer a diverse technical programme on Friday, 28 May 2021. In different forums, the opportunities and risks of digitalisation and the possibilities of application of new technologies in the justice sector in general and the notariat in particular will be analysed and discussed. The Congress will take place in the venerable premises of the Hamburg Chamber of Commerce.
The Congress of German Civil Law Notaries starts on Thursday, 27 May 2021 with a welcome reception in the Altona Fish Auction Hall. Furthermore, several guided tours and excursions are proposed on Friday, 28 May 2021 within the framework of the social programme.
